Birthday Bucket List

Lists are wonderful. They keep you focused and on task. The favorite part is where something gets crossed off.  Everyone has lists (being mental or physical), especially a wish list for what we want to get out of life and do.

I have started a Birthday Bucket List a few years ago as a tradition for myself. I found that life can drift you along without realizing it, or you can be proactive and get involved in it. For each year, I have a list of what I want to do for my birthday. It is something new every time and can be on a small or large scale.

As an alternative, a Birthday Bucket List can be made with a list of your age of things that you want to accomplish during that year for yourself.  A inspirational person with a great bucket list is Nicole. She is behind Woman Seeks World, and has a project of life and the art of being the best you can be. Be sure to connect and follow her inspiration!

Here are just a few examples of thousands of ideas to think about for a list:

  • Play Flight Roulette
  • Raise $5000 for Charity
  • See the Northern Lights
  • Do 10 Random Acts of Kindness
  • Ride in a Hot Air Balloon
  • Brew Beer
  • Go on a trip with Mom or Dad
  • Publish a Book
  • Host a Tea Party with everyone wearing a hat
  • Go on a Volunteer Trip
  • Run a 5K
  • Skinny dip in the ocean
  • Fly First Class / Business Class
  • Make a big breakfast for no reason
  • Go on a Retreat (yoga, writing, etc.)

Another alternative can be a Reverse Birthday Bucket List, listing all the things that you have accomplished within that year.  I love this idea as positive way to direct energy around celebrating the highlights and awesome things that have been accomplished and experienced.
