Black & White Classics : Friday Night

Enjoying the movie classics, such as Casablanca, King Kong, Gone with the Wind, Cool Hand Luke or Roman Holiday can be a lovely evening to appreciate movie culture. With many of the classics being black and white, you feel pulled in while watching these iconic movies from a different time. It is an escape that you may want to start as a weekly event.

Personally, I have started watching these beautiful classics once a month. I would get out a bowl of popcorn and enjoy a movie from the comforts of my bed on a Friday night or weekend afternoon. Pure heaven. Watching ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ with the stunning Audrey Hepburn, was a favorite of mine. Movies with Marilyn Monroe or James Dean were amazing and fun to watch as well. Even the classic thrillers, like Frankenstein was interesting.  From clothing styles to décor, these films are a part of pop culture history to learn from, appreciate and enjoy.

I encourage you to try this weekly or monthly, as an idea for an evening or afternoon. You take something away from these classics every time. Who knows… you may even become a classic film lover.
